I provide answers to people struggling with chronic thyroid problems. After over 10 years of focusing on helping people with chronic thyroid problems, I fully realize that so many people are not feeling better in the traditional medical model of thyroid care.
In this model, the main concern is what TSH and T4 values are. As long as TSH and T4 are within lab range, your thyroid physiology is determined to be fine. Any continual symptoms are written off as depression, anxiety, lack of fitness, or over eating or stress. Doctors either prescribe more medications to suppress symptoms or put the blame back on the patient to eat less and exercise more.
The reality is that the current medical model is outdated and antiquated. Newer research is proving that thyroid physiology is more complex than TSH and T4. Thyroid physiology is more than the gland. Thyroid symptoms and thyroid physiology all come down to what is happening at a cellular level. Somehow many doctors and even the endocrinologists are missing this point.
Symptoms start when peripheral tissues don’t get sufficient thyroid hormone. Symptoms often start when your thyroid gland is perfectly functional.
Understanding the complexity of thyroid physiology has become my passion. My mission is to take that passion and the knowledge I gain from continual research and study and change peoples lives. Hopefully yours will be the next.
